Activities Fun for the Family in Dallas

There are some great reasons to live in Dallas. After all, the economy is booming and the houses are going up in price by the year, so it's a perfect time to make an investment in the area. If you are having second thoughts about making the investment, it's totally understandable. I mean, it's ONLY the BIGGEST purchase of your life! Okay, okay. Now that we have that out of the way, we can get to what we are really here for- a list of cool things to do in Dallas. If you're not sure about moving the family here, well, that's understandable! Life comes with many uncertainties! Hopefully this list can help you answer some of those questions of what Dallas can offer you and your family. THE DALLAS ZOO

The Dallas zoo is pretty much a staple in the area because it attracts many tourists and locals alone. They recently rebuilt their entire enclosure for the elephants and the giraffes, so you can go and watch them roam in their "Giants of Savannah" habitat. If you want to see more of the zoo without having to do much walking around, you can grab a seat on the monorail and ride it around the park. Oh, and cool/fun fact: children under two are free. Not bad.

DALLAS WORLD AQUARIUM

This is one of my favorite places to visit because of the variety of fish you will see when walking through the exhibits. When you first arrive, you get to view many different kinds of birds, and you may run into some otters and a sloth while you're at it. This is a great place to take the kiddos because they have daily feedings of penguins and more. There's even a tunnel you can walk through where sharks swim right over your head! Can't see that every day.

MESQUITE RODEO

I mean... you can't live in Texas without going to the rodeo at least once. This isn't like anything you've seen before! Texas is known for the cowboys, and boy do those cowboys know how to entertain. There's bull riding, barrel racing, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, and more. This is the place to be with plenty to do.

PEROT MUSEUM

The Perot is one of the newest museums and Dallas, and you certainly can't miss it when you are driving through downtown. You can see the escalator from the highway, which visitors will ride all the way up with a view of the city. Once reaching the top, the museum begins with space exhibits and dinosaurs, and then goes down to an interactive science exhibit and more. This place is COOL.

TRINITY FOREST ADVENTURE PARK

This place is for kids ages six and up, and there are six aerial obstacle courses and over twenty different zip lines to choose from. The self-guided courses are designed so families can work together to get through the park by taking various wobble bridges, tight ropes, and more. Oh, and during the seasonal times you can also go fishing, paddle boating, and rock climbing.
